Q. Why was I already in some Affinity Groups when I first signed in?

A. You will see when you click Affinity Groups and on your Profile, at the end of your collection of Affinity Groups (if you are new, these may be all you see), a list of General Subscriptions. These are Affinity Groups you are automatically subscribed to by the Community Network system, based on where you live or other criteria determined by your community administrators. The General Subscriptions are not "chat" Affinity Groups, and will only be used by moderators to send out pertinent news.
